Class: Internal Promotion
Objective: To promote a "walking event" between
employees and president of the company.
Strategy and Execution: Combining the
need to open communications between the president and employees and
the health-related nature of this medical cooperative health
organization, a "fitness/walk and talk" event called "Chatterwalk"
was created. Several times a week the president of the organization
visited one of the twenty-two facilities and met with scheduled
participants for an hour long walk Ad specialties were used as
incentives for reaching certain goals. The fifth time employees
walked they received a "Chatterwalk" mini-water-bottle-koozie and
the tenth time a "Chatterwalk" t-shirt. The products brought a smile
to all participants for a "walk well done."
Results: This on-going
program was a fantastic success, reported the secretary to the
president. Other departments within the company have instituted the
same concept. A reorder of mini-sport bottles is indicative of the
fact that employees are
"Chatterwalking."
