 Class: Internal Promotion/Budget
Objective: To promote various career paths in health care.
Strategy and Execution: In order to
make employees and their dependents aware of how continuing
education can open up various career paths in health care, a "Back
to School" theme was chosen. The slogan "A.D.V.A.N.C.E." was created
to mean "Advising and Developing Valuable and New Careers Through
Education." Each faculty had a program, with "hall passes" issued
for attendance by the Principal's (President's) office. A "Report
Card" program survey was to be completed by all who attended. At the
program, apple-shaped bentcils, blackboard-shaped rulers, and
plastic slogan-imprinted bags were given away. In addition, all the
advertiser's personnel staff wore theme t-shirts and each division
coordinator received an apple-shaped telephone as a thank you for
the program's success.
Results: Based on
attendance at the programs, a 27 percent response rate was reported.
Because of its popularity, the program will be
ongoing.
